Founded over 14 years ago, Cardo (Wales & West) formerly known as LCB, was established with a vision to be the best contractor, delivering not only excellent work but also exceptional customer care. Our founder and CEO, Liam Bevan, recognised a gap in the main contractor field and set out to fill it.
From our humble beginnings in a yard in Barry, South Wales with just five staff, Cardo (Wales & West) has grown exponentially. We now have over 800 employees and operate across South Wales and the South of England, ensuring comprehensive coverage for our clients.
Our client base primarily includes social housing providers and local authorities, but we also serve the Education, Healthcare, Retail, and Commercial sectors, working with both public and private organisations. Our first major client was Hafod, and we are proud to still be partnering with them over a decade later.

Our core values guide everything we do, our commitment to these values has driven our growth and helped us maintain long-term relationships with many key clients, including Cardiff Council, Hafod Housing Association, Newport City Homes, and Pobl, among others.
We prioritise local recruitment, local supply chains, and sustainable practices to support the communities where we operate. Our expansion into South England has been marked by successful projects for Bath and North-East Somerset and Bristol councils, leading to the opening of our Bristol office in February 2021. Following further successes with Places for People, Alliance Homes, and LiveWest, we opened our Exeter office in February 2022 and our Luton office in January 2023, extending our coverage to the Home Counties and Greater London.
