Liam began his career as an apprentice carpenter and is now part-owner and founder of Cardo Group. He founded LCB Construction in South Wales in 2010, growing it to operate across South and West Wales, South West England, and the Home Counties, and winning the Entrepreneur of the Year award from his home city of Cardiff in 2019. Later trading as LCB Group, the company was recognised as the best of its size by Constructing Excellence, and Liam led its transition to becoming Cardo Group’s platform company in 2023. Liam has also served on the board of a Housing Association, and held directorships at a range of successful businesses.

Jane is a building maintenance specialist with over 35 years’ experience in social housing. Starting her career as a trainee painter and decorator, Jane has gone on to work at the top of several leading UK building maintenance firms. Inside Housing Judges identified Jane as one of their 20 ‘extraordinary women’ of 2020 and her work has also been formally recognised with both Lifetime Achievement and Inspirational Leader Awards. Jane is known for her work on innovative contractual and service delivery, and building a diverse workforce.

Alex worked as a Commercial Finance Director at OCS Group, an international facilities services provider, where he oversaw a £350m business unit. Prior to this, Alex qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young and subsequently worked at BDO in Mergers & Acquisitions.

Ben is a long-term associate of LCB Group, Cardo’s platform company, where he successfully oversaw the implementation of that subsidiary’s works order management system, intranet, and Cyber Security Plus credentials.

Before joining Cardo, Gareth worked at The Purple Group, a global professional services firm, where he served as Chief Operating and Commercial Officer. In this role, he was responsible for a wide range of support functions, including marketing, business development, HR, risk and compliance, and governance. He also led merger and acquisition activities and oversaw the integration of newly acquired businesses.

Simon Will was previously Managing Director at United Living Property Services, overseeing a £270m business. Prior to this, Simon was National Operations Director at Kier Places and Director of Property Services at Circle Housing.

Prior to joining Cardo, Mike was an Executive Director at Ian Williams Limited for over 20 years. He is a Board Member of Orbit Housing Association and Abbeyfield Living Society, as well as a Director of the National Housing Maintenance Forum. Mike is a specialist in customer-focused service delivery solutions, procurement, and asset management. He is a sought-after speaker at conferences and events promoting best practice in our sector.
