Forest School & Path
We were delighted to support Maesybryn Primary School with the creation of a new forest school area and accessible pathway, helping to enhance outdoor learning opportunities for pupils.
Working collaboratively with partners and suppliers, the project transformed an underused space into a welcoming, nature-focused environment where children can explore, learn and play.
Project Highlights
The works included:
- Clearing dead tree branches and vegetation to safely open up the area
- Constructing a natural-access pathway using a mini digger, finished with bark to retain a woodland feel
- Installing seating areas with newly built benches for outdoor lessons and group activities
- Preparing space for a future pond feature, with a liner generously donated by LBS
To bring the vision to life, we were proud to receive support from:
- Travis Perkins, who donated materials for the forest school area
- LBS, who supplied the pond liner
- Rugbi, who provided children’s PPE to ensure pupils could safely engage with the environment
Lasting Impact
The new forest school space will provide pupils with a safe, accessible environment to connect with nature, develop practical skills, and support their wellbeing. The addition of the accessible pathway ensures that all children, regardless of mobility, can benefit from the space.
This project is a great example of what can be achieved through collaboration, combining community effort with supplier support to deliver meaningful, lasting social value.
