Emergencies are issues that could risk health, safety, or security. Examples include:

  • No heating or hot water
  • Gas leaks

For gas leaks, call XXXX immediately. For all other emergencies, contact your housing provider straight away atXXXX.(Again Cardo might be the first port of call for some contracts)

How quickly will my repair be done?

  • Emergency repairs: usually completed within xx hours. (depends on contractual obligations)
  • Urgent repairs: addressed within xxx depending on severity.(ditto)
  • Routine repairs: scheduled at the earliest available date; timing may vary based on parts or contractor availability.

How can I prepare for a repair visit?

  • Clear furniture or belongings from the work area
  • Secure pets and children in another room
  • Take note of any specific concerns or questions for the contractor

How will I know it’s Cardo at the door?

Cardo staff or contractors will always carry identification and wear uniforms with the Cardo logo. They may also provide a reference or job number when you report a repair. If you are ever unsure, you can call your housing provider at XXXX to confirm the appointment before letting anyone in.

Do I need to be present for inspections?

Yes, ideally. If not, you can provide access to a trusted adult. For routine inspections, your housing provider usually gives advance notice.
