Bringing Colnbrook Together at the Funday
Cardo joined the local community at the Colnbrook Funday, helping create a day where residents could come together, meet their neighbours and enjoy some family fun.
Community events like the funday provide an important opportunity to connect with residents outside of the usual housing and repairs environment. They help build relationships, strengthen community spirit and make local neighbourhoods feel more connected.
The Challenge
With busy lives and different communities within our neighbourhoods, it can be difficult for residents to find opportunities to come together.
The Colnbrook funday created a chance to bring people of all ages out into the community for a day of fun, conversation and connection. Cardo wanted to support the event and help make it a memorable experience for local families.
What We Did
Cardo attended the funday and supported the event with activities designed to get families involved and having fun.
A face painter helped transform children into their favourite characters, while a children’s entertainer kept everyone smiling and entertained throughout the day.
And with the funday taking place during a heat wave, the entertainer had a particularly memorable trick up their sleeve bringing snow to Colnbrook! The unexpected snow created plenty of excitement and gave children a chance to cool down while having fun.
Cardo colleagues also spent time talking with residents, listening to the community and building relationships in a relaxed setting.

The funday brought the whole community together, with families, children and residents enjoying the day and connecting with one another.

A Day to Remember
The Colnbrook Carnival was a fantastic example of community spirit in action. Cardo was proud to play its part in helping residents come together, have fun and enjoy their neighbourhood.
From face painting to snow in a heat wave, it was certainly a carnival to remember!
