Cardo Group launches partnership with The Retrofit Academy to strengthen green skills and workforce development
Cardo Group has launched a new training partnership with The Retrofit Academy (TRA), designed to strengthen workforce competence and support the development of green skills.
The partnership will also help residents, clients, and Cardo’s colleagues gain a deeper understanding of retrofit processes, improving confidence for all at every stage of a retrofit programme.
The two organisations will work together to expand access to green skills training by combining TRA’s specialist retrofit training and workforce development expertise with Cardo’s established training facilities and practical industry experience.
The first stage of the partnership will focus on funded training opportunities for Cardo’s colleagues, with some funded opportunities also available to clients. TRA and Cardo will work together to develop training that builds on Cardo’s existing retrofit expertise and further strengthen its capabilities.
A hybrid training programme will then follow, with face-to-face delivery taking place at Cardo’s training centre in Bristol, which will also be open to residents and clients. This will cover areas such as large-scale retrofit, understanding domestic retrofit, and tailored training in line with Cardo’s policies and working practices.
TRA and Cardo are committed to helping the retrofit sector understand that competence extends beyond a completed mandatory qualification. It requires continuous learning and the ability to demonstrate the right knowledge, skills, experience, and behaviours.
