Cardo Group expands Scottish presence with acquisition of Rodgers & Johnston Ltd

Cardo Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Rodgers & Johnston Ltd (R&J), a well-established provider of property maintenance services. This is the group’s second acquisition of 2025 in Scotland.

Based in Holytown, North Lanarkshire, R&J has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality property maintenance services, including responsive and planned repairs, electrical works, and void property refurbishments.

The company works with housing associations, local authorities, and public sector clients across Scotland.

The acquisition marks another significant step in Cardo’s growth strategy, strengthening its capabilities in Scotland and reinforcing its commitment to providing high-quality, customer-focused property solutions.

Headed up by Managing Director, Greg Johnston, R&J’s expertise in delivering multi-trade services will complement Cardo’s existing strengths in M&E, renewables and retrofit solutions.

Liam Bevan, Cardo CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Greg and the whole R&J team to Cardo Group. The business has been operating since 1968 and this long and positive track record in delivering essential maintenance services to social housing providers and public sector clients aligns perfectly with our mission to enhance the quality and efficiency of social housing homes and public buildings across the UK.

“By combining, we can grow our services and geographical reach and that creates an exciting future for us all. Most important is our joint culture for doing our best for clients and residents and that will see us thrive together, in Scotland and beyond.”

R&J will continue to operate under its current management team, ensuring continuity for clients and staff while benefiting from the additional resources and expertise of Cardo Group.

Greg Johnston, R&J Managing Director, commented:

“We are very proud of the strong customer-focused reputation we have built over the past five decades. Joining Cardo Group represents an exciting new chapter for us, providing opportunities to grow and enhance our service offering while maintaining the high-quality standards our clients have come to expect.”

This acquisition is part of Cardo Group’s broader strategy to expand its footprint across the UK, with a focus on delivering high-quality, sustainable property solutions that support housing providers and public sector clients in meeting their long-term objectives.
