CCC Thornhurst cream tea and Quiz

Following a request from CCC sheltered scheme, Cardo Canterbury returned to Thornhurst independent living scheme to deliver a 60’s & 70’s quiz, along with a cream tea quiz, adding something social, wellbeing interaction to the Residents weekly coffee morning, also encouraging a few more residents to join the regular coffee morning.  Cardo adding fresh cream scones to the coffee morning nibbles.

Along with some Cardo merch for quizzers, Quiz winners received a box of 1970’s retro sweets.

 ‘Hi Neal, We’ve been asked by the Residents to contact you to see if we can get you booked in to do some fun stuff for the tenants at our schemes.

The tenants really enjoyed the cream tea afternoon that you put on at Thornhurst last year…maybe this would work again at Thornhurst and also do one at Seaview House.  I think tenants initially would like the creme tea and a quiz, but your ideas are welcome.  Let us know what you think.’

As part of the latest `Tenant Engagement’ initiative I arranged for Neal Allison (Cardo) to host a cream tea and 70’s quiz afternoon today at Thornhurst…tenants had great fun with Neal hosting the quiz (me making the teas/coffees/scones with jam and cream).  Neal is great with the tenants.  Thought you’d like to see the photos.
