Cardo recently collaborated with Dacorum Borough Council to help organise a Mystery Movie and Afternoon Tea event for 50 supported housing residents in the Adeyfield area of Hemel Hempstead. The event was held at the Old Town Hall Theatre and was a huge success.
The function room in the theatre was transformed by Cardo Group to enhance the afternoon tea experience for the residents. Cardo provided menus, table decorations, cake stands, and upon arrival, the residents were greeted and served a lavish Afternoon Tea which included four different types of sandwiches and a variety of cakes.
After the Afternoon Tea, the residents made their way to the auditorium where they watched the musical Hairspray. Cardo also provided ice cream and popcorn which was offered to the residents once they had chosen their theatre seats.
The event was a great success and all the residents had a wonderful time. They were collected from their homes by minibuses and taken back once the movie was finished. This event has created many happy memories for the residents and was a great example of community collaboration.
“An enormous thank you for your help on such an amazing event. It is always worth remembering that in many cases, this may well be a very rare social event or outing for our residents and the impact such days can have on their wellbeing is huge. I really cannot overplay just how much you have helped to make this event a success – it was our most ambitious project to date and I do think we’ve all pulled off a triumph! “
